Being near the sea has been important throughout my life. Long winter walks combing the sand looking for unusual shells and pebble treasure is always time well spent.

The beauty of the Dorset coastal landscape, nature and birds in flight currently inspire some of my work.  Using a combination of silver and gold, I embellish designs with carefully selected precious gemstones.

I have worked within different areas of the jewellery trade over the past twenty years.  After completing a Metals course at Plymouth College of Art, I moved east where I trained alongside goldsmiths' on the South Coast in Southampton and Wimborne this involved doing alterations and repairs.  After that, I had a studio at Walford Mill Crafts in Wimborne.

Probably stemming from stone collecting and polishing as a child, I find gemmology fascinating and have passed the FGA Gemmology Foundation course and Diploma Practical of the Gemmological Association of Great Britain in London.

Making jewellery for others is rewarding and commissions are welcome.  Old gold and gemstones can be recycled,  into new pieces to be passed down and cherished by future generations.  Do get in contact if you would like me to make you a piece of jewellery.
